FGCCT Awards Bronze Medal to Bill Duesing

This just in from the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut... Congratulations Bill!
 
For over 35 years, organic farmer, author and environmental artist BILL DUESING has been working to promote organic agriculture and greater local food sufficienty in Connecticut and the Northeast through lectures, writings, media and community work. He is currently the Executive Director of CT NOFA, the Northeast Organic Farming Association of Connecticut, and President on the NOFA Interstate Council.
Bill is the author of Living on the Earth: Eclectic Essays for a Sustain-able and Joyful Future. He was the founding president of CT NOFA, founding chair of the New Haven Ecology Project and Common Ground High School, located on a New Haven farm.
CT NOFA is an 800-member non-profit organization which provides education for organic farmers and gardeners; advocacy for local, organic agriculture; and participation in the wider agricultural community  in Connecticut.
The Bronze Medal is the Federation's most prestigious award. It recognizes and honors the recipient's work done within the past year.
